The Carroll-Grayson-Galax Solid Waste Authority (SWA) is a regional landfill that serves the counties of Carroll, Grayson, and the City of Galax. The SWA maintains and operates the Sanitary Landfill in accordance with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The landfill is also equipped to take various forms of recyclable materials and supports a robust recycling program.
